This release improves search capabilities and makes item selection for reservations more reliable and efficient:
- Advanced Search: Use Boolean operators (
AND,OR), plus/minus symbols (+term,-term), and get better, more relevant results in both public and admin search. - Improved Item Selection for Reservations: We’ve revamped how items are selected for reservations. This includes prioritizes items that are available, not in transit, and located at the pickup location—leading to fewer conflicts and better auto-selection.
- Availability Updates: A new button makes it easy to refresh item availability when there are warnings about items on a reservation. (More Actions > Refresh Availability on reservations).
- Other Fixes: Addresses edge cases that ensures reservation optimization reindexes correctly.
- LEND-7813 When a reservation says there may not be enough of an item to fullfill it (reservation list), add a button to refresh item availability
- LEND-8972 Allow more search syntax in the search in the cart and improve public search results
- LEND-8822 Implement a better algorithm for selecting the “most available items” for reservations
- LEND-8823 Make sure items are reindexed when moved off a reservation during automatic optimization
- LEND-8824 Favour items that are not in transit to a different location when selecting items for reservations in solr
- LEND-8837 Use items with a home location of the pickup location first, before floating items
- LEND-8979 Fix issue with items becoming double-booked in final testing
